The Russians invade America and no can stop them except for.... wait for it...

Yeah, that's right, Walker Texas Ranger before he was all... I can't say cool... or fun to watch... umm... let's go with... chotch.

This was when Chuck Norris was a completely awesome movie hero, and this flick was one I watched with Korey when I was like 9 or 10 and after which we went outside and played guns, each arguing over who was Chuck Norris.

Dude was a different breed of movie hero. I think even then we knew the acting wasn't stellar, but there is just something about 80's action that is so totally wicked that I can't put it into words. It had all the important elements of a great 80's action flick:

1) Cold war paranoia - Holy crap the Russians are invading! Our worst Reagan era fears have come true!

2) Gun with unlimited ammo - need I say more?

3) Great tagline - America wasn't ready... but HE was!

4) Made by Golan-Globus, a mainstay of bad/good 80's action flicks

5) This guy:



This guy was the bad guy in literally every 80's B action movie, EVERY movie. He is a "that guy" of the 80's. Y'know you watch the movie and you see an actor you don't know and go, "Hey, it's that guy!"

Affectionately known as "the chinese extra guy" by my circle of friends. Turns out the guys name is Al Leong, who knew.

But I digress... You need to check out Invasion USA and witness the glory of 80's action... you will not be disappointed.
