Fantasmic

Today was a huge day, lots going on. First it was going to church with Gary and Maggi. They attend an LCMS church here and I was curious to see what church here was like. Well, I cant say I was overly impressed. The preaching showed little preparation in that the Pastor preached verse by verse and only at the end did he go further afield for a moment. To top it off he said during the sermon that he has always been frustrated by the way other preachers have preached on this text, which means I expect a sermon that is going to be pretty dang amazing. Instead I got speculation and poor prep... nice.

After that it was on to the House of Blues in Anaheim for the Gospel brunch. The food was awesome as always and the Gospel choir was truly awesome, I was up on my feet and tapping my toes, very very cool. After that it was off to our last day at Disneyland.

It was a LOT hotter than it had been all week, which was fine as I am getting use to it. We wandered the park, I thought something must be wrong though as we rode Haunted Mansion and Pirate with Korey and Heidi in about 20 minutes total for both. Everything was walk on, even Space Mountain was only a 20 min or so wait. Space Mountain was freaking amazing, I totally loved it! Its weird to me that I have become a guy who likes rides. I'm not ride crazy mind you, I just have moved from a guy who doesnt go on ride because I fear them to a guy who knows what he like in a ride. I wouldnt go on some of the crazier roller coasters at other parks just because I dont think I would have fun on it. I am not scared of being hurt, just uncomfortable. That was the one thing about Space Mountain that bugged me, it was TIGHT. Now I am a big guy, but this made me feel huge.

Candace and I got our portrait done by the same artist who did Sean and I. That was cool.

The night ended with Fantasmic. This crazy light show, cartoon, characters in costume, "lasers". It was breathtaking and a real spectacle. I loved it that everytime I thought it got big, it got bigger and more exciting. It was awesome.
Tomorrow is beach day. I am going boogie boarding.
