Idol-a-try

As in give Idol-a-try this year. I know the show is in its 6th year and the concept seems kind of tired but there is some seriously good singers on there this year. Last night I was actually blown away by a few of the performances and I was about 2 seconds away from not watching it any more a couple of weeks ago. I have watched Idol a bit for the last 3 or 4 years and I enjoy it, last year was just brutal and I was not really all that impressed with the talent. This year there are some people who can totally wail. The funny thing is, there are also people in it this year who would have done very well last year or the year before who are going to get absolutely destroyed this year, which will make for some entertaining TV. By way of example, this is a youtube of Chikezie, one of the finalists this year who absolutely blew me away last night. Before this I thought he was OK but wasnt all that impressed with his enthusiasm or song choices to this point, but this is what he pulled out last night.



Talk about awesome... to see these people just cut loose is a lot of fun. Dont get me wrong, there are a couple who kinda suck, but they are obvious and will be gone soon enough. I am in for the long haul though.
