St. Candace of Cloverdale...

I must admit I don’t really feel like I have much to say. I just want to keep in the habit of writing at least once a week… well, there is one thing.

IT’S MY ANNIVERSARY! Well, my wife and I… IT’S OUR ANNIVERSARY!

4 years ago I tricked Candace into saying, “I do.” and she has put up with me for 4 years! The woman is a saint, seriously. I am not an easy guy to live. First, I am devastatingly handsome, which makes it rough when we go out because all the ladies be macking on me. Second, what my great looks misses, my wicked cool sense of humor manages to snag. It’s a rough life being me I tell you! See! And I am like this all the time, talking like a crazy person. Imagine being forced to read my blog all the time and you have a good idea what Candace’s life is like. I like to think I have helped her craft her happy place by forcing her to go there so often. Hehe.

Seriously, I am not sure where I would be with out her. Undoubtedly rocking back and forth in a corner somewhere, stressed beyond belief because she wasn’t there to calm me down when I was sad and upset, and unaware of who I am because she wasn’t there to help me remember where I put my wallet. My wife is a treasure, and the most amazing person I know. I love her more now than I ever have and it amazes me how God does that in the people He joins together. Just when you think you discovered it all, there is another layer, another joy, another fascinating thing about her. The longer we are together the more I am excited about parenting with her, growing old with her, and just plain ol getting to talk to her. I love that I get to know her like no one else does and vice versa, it’s like having a little secret world that no one can get into and I love that, I need that. Our little jokes, our little thoughts that would only give other people quizzical expressions.

I love you sweetie, Happy Anniversary.

PS: Consider this your present as I forgot to go to the store and get you something! (see what she has to put up with ;) )
