Noob

I need to say it, I have been waiting for a while to feel like this again. I am a Pastor, and I love my job. It isnt what I thought it would be, and it isnt always easy but I am more and more understanding what it is to serve God first, and his people second. It means I may not always be liked, it means that I need to step up and grow up, but it also means feeling God's constant support and protection.

Our new Senior Pastor is amazing, we are truly blessed, I am truly blessed. I get to work with a guy who is a good communicator and understands teamwork, who has hopes and dreams for the future and is excited about what may come. I am putting the past behind me and moving forward, eyes front. If you want to have vision you have to look forward. There is nothing more that can be gleaned from the past, it's gone.

I am a noob again, learning as I go, with some added experience this time. I feel excited, ambitious, hopeful, determined, convicted, and absolutely positively stoked for what God is going to bring to Zion in the next couple of years and beyond.

And I know that most people who think this won't read this but this is my official announcement. I AM NOT GOING ANYWHERE FOR A LONG WHILE SO STOP WAITING FOR THE NEXT HEARTBREAK TO COME! I LOVE YOU AND I WANT TO BE HERE NOW MORE THAN EVER!

It is fun being in the hands of God isn't it? You never know for sure what you are going to get but it is always an adventure that ends in grace and lurv.

I too feel like it's a new day. I'm glad for what I've learned over the years even though some of those lessons were very painful. I will carry some of those scars with me until the True New Beginning to come. Some have faded to where I can only see them in a certain light. Others are just as bold and clear as if they happened yesterday. But I'm not embarrassed by them. They are a reminder now of what God has led me through.

Sweet.
